Juleke Berends-Haggenburg: “Only the white laundry, washed at 90 degrees, and the bed linen washed at 60 degrees, is put in my dryer, iron-free setting. Now I heard that the laundry that does not go in the dryer still contains a lot of bacteria? ”
Zamarra: Normally soiled laundry is sufficiently clean and does not need to be disinfected. The detergent removes dirt and rinses it away with the rinse water. If you are still concerned about bacteria, for example because someone in the house is vulnerable or ill, washing in the washing machine at sixty degrees is sufficient. Laundry that cannot be washed at sixty degrees is often not allowed to tumble dry on the hottest setting.
Anja Haarnack: “My Belgian bluestone counter top is full of circles and white spots. What to do? ”
Zamarra: Moeller HMK P333 Bluestone Oil removes stains from bluestone and reduces the penetration of water and dirt. This also slows down the absorption of acidic liquids and other harmful agents. This oil is available at hardware stores.
