Readers tip: these are the most beautiful forests to walk in

The whole of the Netherlands went for a walk during the lockdown and many readers still keep moving, according to the reactions. Some readers did respond to our call, but then kept their favorite forest secret. “Because otherwise it will be much too busy.” Alita Rijanaards even finds it dangerous to ask readers about their favorite forest: “Let everyone have a nice walk in their own environment in this time of corona.”

Diana de Bruijn does reveal her favorite forest: the Schoorlse Duinen. And Leonie Vrieze can often be found in the Achterhoek forests, near Aalten. “Walking is good for my fibromyalgia disease. On the way I see deer. ”

So there are more creative readers. “I recently walked close to home in the Almbos near Giessen (NB), nice and quiet, and I was able to practice my hobby photography at my leisure,” said Rika Hooijkaas from Zuilichem.
