The Gelderland festival Zwarte Cross may be moved to September. The reason for this is that it remains uncertain whether the festival can be organized from 15 to 18 July, given the current situation.
“There is still great doubt about this. That is why we are now seriously investigating whether the move to September is possible. Hopefully we will then be rid of corona measures and most of the Netherlands will be vaccinated“, says Pieter Holkenborg on behalf of organizer Feestfabriek. Holkenborg further explains that the organization is in talks with the municipality of Oost Gelre, to which Lichtenvoorde belongs, to obtain the permits.
If the next edition cannot take place, that would mean bad news for the Feestfabriek. Holkenborg says about this “Organizing festivals is what we do. If that is again not possible, the question is how long you can maintain this as a company.“When there is more clarity about this, it is still unknown, but Holkenborg remains optimistic:”Of course we hope as soon as possible. In any case, we are continuing with the preparations for the 2021 edition of the Zwarte Cross and can switch quickly if necessary.“
Tickets already bought remain valid for the next Zwarte Cross edition. Nothing is yet known about the programming.
