It Eurovision songfestival will be held in Rotterdam in May. Due to the corona measures, the organization already took into account various scenarios regarding the audience number.
It was announced today that the event can be considered as a Fieldlab test event. Outgoing minister Arie Slob has announced this in De Telegraaf. As a result, there could possibly be 3,500 per show at the Eurovision Song Contest. During the test events, we look at how an audience can come together in a safe way to enjoy live music.
In total there are nine shows: two semifinals, the final and six rehearsals. At the end of April it will be definitively decided whether the public can be there.
All participants from 39 countries are allowed to come to the Netherlands under strict conditions. When an artist is ill or if there is a high risk of infection, they fall back on recordings in their own country.
The Eurovision Song Contest takes place from 18 to 22 May in Rotterdam Ahoy. Jeangu Macrooy participates on behalf of the Netherlands with the number ‘Birth Of A New Age‘.
