Good and important news for us concert and festival lovers. State Secretary Mona Keijzer (Economic Affairs and Climate) announced today that all concerts and festivals can take place again with 100% capacity from 30 June. Visitors do not have to keep 1.5 meters away. However, a vaccination certificate or negative corona test of a maximum of 40 hours old is required to gain access to the event. These rules only apply to events that require an admission ticket. There is a maximum of 25,000 visitors per day.
Multi-day events with overnight stays are also possible again from 30 July. To do this, the infection rates have to fall further and the vaccination campaign has to continue. The RIVM does advise not only testing in advance but also in the interim for multi-day events. The cabinet is in talks with the sector about a possible practical implementation of this.
In order to incorporate these measures, the so-called road map will be adjusted. Keizer says “It is great news that events such as festivals and concerts will soon be possible again thanks to the hard work of Fieldlab Events. We now use the insights gained by the Fieldlab organization to adjust the Roadmap. Have you been vaccinated, tested negative or recovered from corona, then you can go to a festival or concert like before.”
