A few days at the campsite with my family in Brittany. I’m looking forward to vacationing abroad this summer! The original plan was to get away from home for a few days, but as soon as we heard that France was going from orange to yellow, we immediately booked a camping holiday.
Ruud Couwenhoven also has something to look forward to. As travel restrictions for France have been relaxed, he can finally hold his son in his arms again.
Marga Thijsen says that due to the relaxation, she has booked an extra holiday. This summer she is not only celebrating a holiday in her own country, but also in Italy.
Michel de Haar still hopes that he can catch a plane to Miami this summer, but has a hard head about it. “The Greek island of Rhodes is a good alternative. Nice eight days at the beach.”
Finally, a piece of advice from Mrs. De Ruijter, who recently booked a holiday to Croatia. “Although more and more destinations are yellowing, it is smart to keep following current developments, so that you are always well prepared.”
With the caravan
We constantly keep an eye on the travel advice. We are currently celebrating a few weeks of holiday in our own country, but are now also planning to go to Italy with the caravan in August.
Our son lives and works in Paris and we haven’t seen him and his girlfriend ‘live’ since February last year. Now that France is on yellow, that is finally possible again. In July we will meet in Chablis and in August in Paris.
As soon as the borders for the Dominican Republic open again, we will immediately change our travel plans. Then we cancel our car holiday to Croatia immediately.
Last year we were supposed to go to England, but we had to postpone that to this year. Unfortunately traveling to England is still difficult, so we canceled everything. We have booked a holiday to Italy, because that country is yellow.
Jeanet van Wijngaarden
Because our holiday to South Africa that was planned in August will probably not take place, we will stay in the Netherlands. In July we go to Terschelling and in August to a holiday park in the east of the country.
