Anyone looking for ‘music for plants’ on streaming service Spotify will find various playlists that would ensure that plants would grow (even) better. Due to corona, these lists have become a lot more popular because many people have (re) discovered their love for plants due to the pandemic.
According to Spotify, their Music for Plants playlist is up 1,400 percent in popularity. The list contains nearly six hours of songs “with gentle vibrations for green leaves, green fingers and green ears”.
The music platform apparently didn’t think that was enough, as it has joined forces with the US plant influencers PlantKween (real name Christopher Griffin) and Darryl Cheng, among others, to create specialized playlists that would improve the well-being of your plants.
From salsa to hip hop, pop and indie rock; the playlists Plant Care, Plants & Chill, and Back to the Garden contain songs in different music styles. Think of songs like Frank Ocean’s Ivy, The Beatles’ Here Comes the Sun, Secret Garden (Bruce Springsteen) and Dreams (Fleetwood Mac).
PlantKween can also be heard on Spotify in the podcast Green Gurls Galore, in which he shares his favorite plant music as well as tips to keep your plant (s) healthy.
